Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1  Madrid

    Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, a driver be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Our guide will be ready to welcome you and will provide the necessary information. In the evening we'll head to Plaza de Espana and Gran Via, a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant, with multiple cuisines to choose from.

  • Day : 2  Madrid

    This morning, experience the city on a guided tour, showcasing the beautiful Plaza Mayor (Main Square), its broad, magnificent avenues, and myriad fountains. We'll also tour the interior of Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, a gorgeous building that showcases the city's great architecture. Here we'll learn about the tradition of corridas (running with the bulls) in the Bullfighting Museum. Next, we'll take a walking tour of beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace. Afterwards you'll be free to explore on your own. If you wish, there is an optional visit to the Royal Palace. At sunset we'll head to Plaza de Oriente in the historic center of Madrid where you can enjoy dinner.

  • Day : 3  Madrid - Zaragoza - Montserrat - Barcelona

    We'll depart early in the morning from Madrid and heads towards the stunning region of Aragon and stop in the city of Zaragoza. Here we'll visit the magnificent Basilica del Pilar and then enjoy some free time in the city center. Later, we'll make our way to Catalunya and admire impressive rocky landscapes while passing the Montserrat Monastery. Then we'll arrive at today's destination, Barcelona! We'll head to the Plaza de Colon and Maremagnum, a place that’s full of life and activities right next to the sea. This is where the most innovative spirit of the city blends with its deep historic character. We will guide you on where to eat right in the heart of this district. Classic Spanish food can be found alongside Indian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern restaurants. Return to the hotel.

  • Day : 4  Barcelona

    Today we'll get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert and visit the city’s historic center with a Gothic quarter dating back to the Middle Ages. Then we'll visit the area where the Olympic Games took place, as well as La Sagrada Familia, the magnificent basilica designed by architect Gaudi (admission not included). Afterwards, we'll head to Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village). This open-air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Then you'll have free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we'll head to Las Ramblas and Plaza Cata­lunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants for dinner (own expense).

  • Day : 5  Barcelona - Peniscola - Valencia

    On Day 5 we'll travel south along the Mediterranean, stopping at Pe­niscola, a small walled town on the shores of the Mediterranean. After a short introduction given by our guide, you'll have time to stroll through the town and explore the fishing port, the castle, and the beach. Following lunch (own expense), we'll continue to Valencia, the third largest city in Spain. We'll explore the City of Arts and Sciences, the most popular tourist attraction in Valencia. Next, we'll walk through the historic center of the city and visit the glorious Cathedral. In the evening we'll head to Plaza de Toros for dinner (own expense).

  • Day : 6  Valencia - Caravaca de la Cruz - Granada

    Early in the morning, we'll take a scenic trip through the Spanish heartland. On our way to Granada, we'll make a stop in Caravaca de la Cruz, a small town considered by the Catholic Church to be one of the five holy cities. We'll continue through beautiful landscapes to Andalusia and arrive in Granada.

  • Day : 7  Granada

    Enjoy a full day in Granada. Admission to the immense Alhambra Palace and the beautiful Generalife gardens is included in your package.* The afternoon is yours to explore the Cathedral with its sepulcher of the Catholic Kings, among other relics. In the evening we'll transfer you to Plaza de Gracia in Granada's city center, where restaurants mix with the local flavor. Later that night you will have the option of attending a flamenco show in the traditional neighborhood of Sacramonte.

  • Day : 8  Granada - Marbella - Ronda - Seville

    Leaving Granada, we'll travel towards Costa del Sol, the Sunshine Coast of Spain, defined by beautiful Mediterranean landscapes. We'll stop in Malaga for a stroll through the historic center. We'll also visit Puerto Banus, lo­cated in Marbella, one of the most cosmopolitan coastal cities. Here we'll stroll through the marina for a peek at the luxury yachts. We'll continue our journey through the mountains before reaching Ronda, a beautiful traditional white village with its impressive El Tajo gorge that divides the city in half. Next we'll arrive in the great city of Seville. We'll have time to relax in historic city center area (Calle Alfonso XII) where many different restaurants can be found for your delight.

  • Day : 9  Seville

    After breakfast, a local expert will guide you through gorgeous Seville, featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda. We'll also tour the popular neighborhoods Santa Cruz and Triana, and the beautiful Plaza de Espana. Enjoy leisure time directly afterwards. In the late afternoon, we'll go to the historic city center area (Calle Alfonso XII) where many different restaurants can be found (own expense)

  • Day : 10  Seville - Rabida Monastery - Mertola - Evora - Lisbon

    We'll venture out of Seville, and into the province of Huelva, ultimately arriving at Palos le la Frontera. Entrance to the Carabelas Museum. This is where Columbus set sail in August 1492 for America. We'll also visit the UNESCO-listed Rabida Monastery, a Franciscan monastery strongly linked to the history of the discovery. After that we'll cross over into Portugal, stopping over in Mertola, an ancient Muslim city. After free time for lunch (own expense) we'll regroup and drive to UNESCO-listed Evora. Entrance to the impressive Chapel of Bones, built with 5,000 skeletons, is included in your package. Our last stop: Lisbon, for some rest and relaxation.

  • Day : 11  Lisbon

    In the morning we'll take a panoramic tour of Lisbon, where we'll visit the Belem district - the birthplace of the great Portuguese navigators who sailed the oceans in the 15th century - making stops at the Monument to the Discoveries, Belem Tower, and the beautiful Jeronimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll invite all our guesets to sample a Belem cake, an exquisite local delicacy. The afternoon is yours to uncover the many hidden gems of this fascinating city. In the late afternoon, we'll ascend on the funicular to the famous Barrio Alto (Upper District). Here you will be able to dine at the restaurant of your choice (own expense).

  • Day : 12  Lisbon - Fatima - Plasencia - Madrid

    We'll travel to the north of Portugal and visit Fatima, an important pilgrimage site. We'll then continue on through the verdant countryside to Spain, eventually arriving in Plasencia. There you will have free time for lunch (own expense) and a stroll through the historic walled city. Then we'll continue to Madrid, where your unforgettable tour of Spain and Portugal will come to an end.
