  • Day : 1  Munich

    Transfers to your hotel leave Munich airport at 10:00 and 13:00. Join your Travel Director at 15:00 for an orientation tour of the city. See the Feldherrnhalle in the Odeonsplatz, the Palace of the Dukes of Wittelsbach, the English Garden, the Hofbräuhaus, St. Peter's Church and the famous Marienplatz. Join your fellow guests for a drink and enjoy a pleasant Welcome Dinner.

  • Day : 1  Zurich

    Your spiritual pilgrimage to the heart of Europe begins in Zurich, whose historic centre and scenic lakeside setting you will have an opportunity to explore before meeting your Travel Director and fellow travellers for an orientation of the city's iconic sights and a Welcome Reception.Welcome Reception

  • Day : 2  Zurich - Vaduz - Salzburg Domplatz - Salzburg

    Embark on a soul-stirring encounter with the valleys and lofty peaks of Liechtenstein, bound for its tiny capital, Vaduz. Continue along the scenic Alberg route into the Tyrol to your overnight stop in the Baroque city of Salzburg. Here, you will join a Local Specialist for a walking tour that will take you past iconic sights, including the house where Mozart once lived and Domplatz with its imposing Salzburger Dom Cathedral, Residenz Castle and St. Peter's Abbey.Buffet Breakfast

  • Day : 2  Munich

    Embark on an exciting visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, bristling with turrets and pinnacles and built for the wildly eccentric King Ludwig II as a retreat. See the exuberantly decorated apartments including the Throne Room and Lohengrin Grotto. On return to Munich, the rest of the day is free for you to explore Bavaria's capital city. Perhaps visit one of its many art galleries and museums, or relax and enjoy a coffee in the delightful Marienplatz?(Breakfast)

  • Day : 3  Lake Mondsee - Melk Abbey - Vienna

    Waltz through the scenic Austrian countryside, past Lake Mondsee and the rolling hills, fortresses and valleys of the picturesque Wachau Valley. See Melk Abbey perched atop its rocky bastion above the beautiful Danube. Our home for the next two nights is the glorious Imperial city of Vienna. Buffet Breakfast

  • Day : 3  Munich - Oberammergau

    Continue on to Oberammergau, home of the famous Passion Play since 1634. With your Travel Director, see the immense theatre and colourful chalets before checking into your hotel for the night

  • Day : 4  Vienna - Vienna State Opera House - Hofburg Palace

    Admire the grand boulevards and beautiful Gothic and Baroque façades on a guided sightseeing tour with a Local Specialist, who will take you to see the State Opera, Hofburg, St. Stephen's Cathedral and Parliament. Immerse yourself in the centuries-old history of 'Am Hof', before spending free time soaking up the Kaffee culture of the city. This evening, you may wish to embrace the talents of the City of Music and attend a Viennese concert in one of the city's magnificent performance venues.Buffet Breakfast

  • Day : 4  Salzburg

    A short drive over the Austrian border leads to Salzburg, 'alive with the sound of music'. Join your Local Expert who will show you the formal gardens of Mirabell Palace, Residenzplatz, the city's imposing fortress, the immense cathedral in the Old Town and Mozart’s birthplace on the lively Getreidegasse. With the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps take an optional experience to Hilter’s notorious Eagle's Nest? Later, join your travel companions and venture to Lenzenbauer, a delightful Austrian farm, just outside the city. Enjoy a homemade schnapps before a member of the Golser family shows you around some of the property that has been in their family for three generations. You'll then sit down to a delicious Farm-to-Table meal of homemade spreads and homemade bread, roast pork or vegetable rosti served with salads and finish with a local speciality typical of the region for dessert.

  • Day : 5  Vienna - Oberammergau

    Travel through the striking Austrian countryside and into Bavarian Germany to the picturesque town of Oberammergau for a Trafalgar Highlight and display of unwavering faith - the Oberammergau Passion Play, which will be performed tomorrow as it has every ten years since 1634. Dine at your hotel this evening. Buffet Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day : 5  Salzburg - Mondsee - Vienna

    In Mondsee, marvel when you visit the church featured in 'The Sound of Music' before continuing on through Melk to the beautiful Wachau Valley and onto the Austrian capital of Vienna.

  • Day : 6  Oberammergau

    Give thanks to God, as the Oberammergau villagers do in their dramatic depiction of the life and death of Jesus Christ. Take your premium seats for a poignant afternoon spent watching the Passion Play, witnessing first-hand the covenant that the villagers made with God in the 17th century to spare them from the ravages of the plague that had decimated their village and resulted in their promise to honour His grace and mercy. Dine at a local restaurant this evening before watching the captivating second half of this performance as night falls. Buffet Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day : 6  Vienna

    Join a Local Expert for a private tour of Schnbrunn Palace, Austria's famous imperial summer residence. Marvel at its frescoed ceilings, crystal chandeliers, mirrors and gilded ornaments, before spending some time in the perfectly manicured gardens. Then see the city's many highlights, including St. Charles' Church, the Hofburg Palace, Parliament and State Opera House. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure for further exploration.   • Day : 7  Oberammergau - Engadine Valley - St Moritz

    Continue to Switzerland this morning and cross the enchanting Engadine Valley. You'll arrive later in the fashionable winter sports resort of St. Moritz, where you are free this afternoon to explore its stylish surrounds. Buffet Breakfast

  • Day : 7  Vienna - Kindberg

    Take a delightful drive through undiscovered Austria. Climb the dramatic Semmering Pass and stop in Kindberg with its colourful maypole. Continue south to the border to arrive in historic St. Veit an der Glan. (Breakfast)

  • Day : 8  Thusis - Bellinzona - Zermatt

    Traverse Alpine landscapes to Thusis and follow the San Bernadino route to Bellinzona, famous for its three castles. Continue via Locarno to the shores of Lake Maggiore and explore the scenic town of Stresa. See the beautiful Borromean Islands as you head towards the Simplon Pass. This evening enjoy dinner at your hotel in Zermatt.Buffet Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day : 8  Innsbruck

    Journey through the High Tauern mountains and see the Dolomites in the distance as you travel to the charming Alpine city of Innsbruck, set in a valley of snow-capped mountain peaks. Your Travel Director provides an orientation of the city to see its 14th century houses of the Old Town, the impressive Imperial Palace and the delightful Golden Roof. You're invited to choose among a selection of local restaurants, from classic Austrian to international cuisine, for your Dine-Around Evening.

  • Day : 9  Zermatt - Klein Matterhorn

    Spend a full day at leisure soaking up Zermatt's crisp mountain air and panoramic alpine vistas. Relax in beautiful surrounds or consider an Optional Experience to the Klein Matterhorn for the most spectacular mountain views.Buffet Breakfast

  • Day : 9  Innsbruck

    Take in the stunning views of the beautiful Engadine Valley, as you enter Switzerland headed for the chic Alpine resort of St. Moritz. Enjoy St. Moritz's marvellous scenery, fresh air and perhaps visit its many luxury boutiques. You may even choose to step aboard the Bernina Express to experience one of Europe's most outstanding train journeys

  • Day : 10  Lake Geneva - Montreux

    A drive through the Rhône Valley brings you to Lake Geneva, where you'll view Lord Byron's Castle of Chillon. Follow the shores of Lake Geneva round to Montreux, famous for its annual jazz festival. This evening, 'Connect with Locals' over a Be My Guest dinner at a family run winery overlooking Lake Geneva. Buffet Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day : 10  Lucerne

    Embark on an iconic train journey onboard the Glacier Express, as you take in vistas of ice-capped mountains, stone-built villages and lush meadows. Ascend through the spiral tunnels of the Albula Pass and cross the Landwasser Viaduct before heading down through the Oberalp Valley to rejoin the coach at Andermatt. Continue north, following the staggering Schollenen Gorge through William Tell country, to lovely lakeside Lucerne, one of Europe’s most popular cities set on the banks of Lake Lucerne. Join your Travel Director to see the sorrowful sculpture of the dying lion, cut out of a limestone cliff to commemorate the Swiss Guards who died at the Battle of the Tuileries.

  • Day : 11   Lucerne - Interlaken - Jungfrau Mountain - Lucerne

    Travel via the laidback Swiss capital of Berne to Interlaken, set in the heart of Switzerland in the shadow of the mighty Jungfrau. Cross the Brünig Pass to the lakeside town of Lucerne, where you'll have an opportunity to view the ancient wooden Chapel Bridge and visit the poignant Lion Monument which pays tribute to the brave Swiss Guards who lost their lives defending Louis XVI during the French Revolution.   • Day : 11  Lucerne

    Enjoy the morning at your leisure to explore the city's 14th century covered wooden bridges, painted gables, old walls and watch towers of the medieval fortifications. Stroll across the Chapel Bridge to the Jesuit Church, or use your free time to shop. Later, head to the town of Stans where you'll embark on a scenic journey by funicular railway and cable car, to the summit of the stunning Stanserhorn. On a clear day there are views as far as Alsace in France and the Black Forest in Germany. Here amid true Alpine majesty, your journey literally peaks with an unforgettable Celebration Dinner, hosted in Drehrestaurant Rondorama, located atop the mountain. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and admire the stunning 360-degree views as the restaurant slowly rotates throughout the evening, ensuring you don't miss a thing.

    Snow-capped peaks surround you as you wander through the medieval streets of Lucerne lined with colourful muralled façades. Spend a full free day exploring the Old Town, enjoy a leisurely Swiss lunch or consider an Optional Experience ascending a nearby mountain for panoramic views.     Bid farewell to your travel companions and transfer to Zürich airport, arriving at 08:00. (Breakfast)
