  • Day : 1  Welcome to Madrid

    Your trip starts in Madrid, the capital of Spain, a cosmopolitan city that combines the most modern infrastructure with an interesting cultural and artistic heritage and a legacy of centuries of exciting history. Strategically located in the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula at an altitude of 646 m above the sea level, Madrid is also counted as one of the most important of all the great European cities.

  • Day : 2  Discover the Spanish capital

    Explore Madrid on a guided walking tour of the city. Travel through its old quarters, known as Madrid de los Austrias. Visit the impressive Plaza Mayor, walk down the stairs of the Arch of Cuchilleros and wander through the winding streets and alleys around Plaza de la Villa, the core of medieval Madrid, where you will see some of the oldest buildings including the House and Tower of Lujares, where French king Francois I was held prisoner by the Spanish emperor Carlos V of the House of Cisneros. See the monumental neoclassical building of the Cathedral of Almudena before travelling to the beautiful Plaza de Oriente, where Spain's Royal Palace is located. Explore the impressive palace, the former residence of Spanish kings that is beautifully furnished and decorated. Admire its official reception rooms and the museum area.

  • Day : 3  Toledo

    Take a train and head for Toledo, a Spanish city that is home to many monuments. Known as the 'City of Three Cultures', because Christians, Arabs and Jews lived together in this city for centuries, Toledo still preserves its artistic and cultural legacy in the form of churches, palaces, fortresses, mosques and synagogues. This great diversity of architectural styles makes the old quarter of Toledo, La Mancha, an open-air museum and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

  • Day : 4  From Madrid to Valencia

    Travel back to Madrid and board a high-speed train to Valencia, a city that has been able to harmoniously combine the remnants of its past, dating as far as 138 BC, with some of the most innovative and avant-garde buildings of the new millennium. Valencia is Spain's centre of culture, cinema, theatres and museums. It is where avant-garde designers work on some of the most jaw-dropping designs. Enjoy a private, guided bicycle tour of Valencia in the afternoon. The bicycle ride will take you to the Turia Gardens, the historic old quarter and the futuristic science and culture complex known as La Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias. The bicycle route travels through parks and gardens and along bike paths and pedestrian streets, making it a safe and easy option to roam around the city.

  • Day : 5  Valencia: Between the past & the present

    Embark on a private, guided tour of the City of Arts and Sciences with your guide and discover this new symbol of the city. Take a walk on Umbraculo (a raised garden promenade), which offers a superb vantage point for various buildings designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, including Palacio de las Artes (Opera House), Hemisferic (including its planetarium and IMAX theatre) and the Science Museum and LAgora. Travel to the marine life and aquarium complex known as Oceanografico, considered to be one of Europe’s largest, and explore the marine life of the seas of the 5 continents.   • Day : 6  Valencia - Barcelona

    Take a high speed train to Barcelona, a cosmopolitan city with Roman remains, medieval quarters and some of the most beautiful examples of the 20th century modernist and avant garde styles, including works of famous Catalan architects Antoni Gaudi and Lluis Domenech i Montaner. Check in at your hotel in the afternoon. You are free for the rest of the day.

  • Day : 7  Barcelona chocolate and pastries tour

    Start your day with a guided walking and tasting tour. Visit select Barcelona chocolate shops, bakeries and cafes. Explore the Gothic and El Born quarters, known for their cafes and patisseries and indulge your tastebuds with chocolates and sweets. Enjoy 10 different tastings of a variety of Spanish treats. Visit two of the most famous Gaudi monuments in Barcelona: Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. While Sagrada Familia, one of the most visited buildings in the world that is known for its towering vaults that reach as much as seventy meters in height, is famous all over the world for its radical design, Park Guell is Gaudi's unsung masterpiece. This architectural marvel was commissioned by Count Guell, who wanted the architect to design an elegant estate with family homes. It is a public park today and is part of the city's heritage.   • Day : 8  Montserrat

    Go on a half-day trip to Montserrat (1,236m) from Barcelona. Enjoy beautiful sceneries on the way. Visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which holds the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Verge Moreneta (the Black Madonna). See this famous statue from a distance. Travel to a Benedictine sanctuary in Montserrat that was founded in 1025.

  • Day : 9  Barcelona departure

    Your unforgettable Spanish tour comes to an end today. Have your breakfast and prepare for your departure. You will be driven to Barcelona's airport in a private car.
